Your care team, actually talking to each other

We coordinate with your other providers, OB/GYN, primary care, specialists, and connect you to trusted outside support when something falls outside our scope, so nothing gets lost between appointments.

What collaborative care looks like at HerSpace

A lot of care falls apart in the gaps — your therapist doesn't know what your OB prescribed, your primary care doctor doesn't know what's happening in therapy. With your consent, we communicate directly with the other providers involved in your care, so decisions get made with the full picture in mind.

And when something you need falls outside what we offer — a higher level of care, a specialist in a specific area, a support group — we don't just hand you a list and wish you luck. We maintain relationships with providers we trust and make a warm connection wherever we can.

Your consent, always

Nothing is shared with another provider without your explicit permission.

Trusted network

Referrals go to specialists and programs we actually know and trust.

Who this is for

  • Wanting your therapist and OB/GYN or primary care doctor on the same page
  • Needing a specialist for something outside our scope, like an eating disorder program
  • Stepping down from a higher level of care and needing a smooth transition
  • Needing a referral to a higher level of care than outpatient therapy provides
  • Managing a complex situation with several providers already involved
  • Wanting one point of contact to help make sense of a fragmented care picture

Our approach

Direct provider coordination

Communicating with your other providers, with your consent, so your care plan reflects the whole picture, not just our part of it.

Curated referral network

A vetted list of specialists and programs for needs outside our scope, rather than a generic directory search.

Continuity through transitions

Support stepping down from a higher level of care, or up into one, without you having to manage the handoff alone.

What to expect

1

Identify the need

Your provider flags when coordination with another provider or an outside referral would actually help your care.

2

Consent and information sharing

You decide what gets shared and with whom before any communication happens.

3

Connection made

We reach out to the relevant provider or specialist directly, rather than leaving you to make cold contact on your own.

4

Follow-up

We check back to confirm the connection actually worked and adjust if it didn't.

Common questions

Will you share my information without asking me first?

No. Nothing is shared with another provider unless you've given specific consent for that communication.

What if I need a specialist you don't have in-house?

We connect you to a trusted outside provider from our referral network rather than leaving you to search on your own.

Do you coordinate with my OB or primary care doctor?

Yes, when it's helpful and with your permission — this is especially common around medication management or perinatal care.

What if I need a higher level of care than outpatient therapy?

We help identify the right level of care and make the referral, and stay involved in the transition where it's useful.
